We are enthusiastic about helping companies to expand the space for engagement and creativity. This is the first in a series of posts covering this topic.

What makes people spend their spare time and expertise on for example developing Linux, contributing to Wikipedia or other crowd sourcing projects?

We believe that one of the main reasons is, that as human beings we are driven by the need and want to contribute, to create and to learn – the soul wants to expand.

The dilemma is, that on the one hand we enjoy the prospect of professional and personal growth, learning and development, and on the other hand we dislike being told by others that we need to learn something or that someone else has been designated to teach us something we believe we already know.

We believe that companies that focus mainly on results and processes rather than on people and relationships will miss out on the opportunity to nurture an environment that promotes and encourages engagement and creativity.

Successful companies in the future understand, that their employees thrive and demonstrate optimal performance in a culture of openness, influence and responsibility.

When this working environment is in place employees will naturally bring more engagement and creativity into their daily work.

To be continued…
